I’m using Charles Brock’s material for making the Maloof inspired rocker and am about to shape the rear llegs. There is not much info out there about how best to accomplish this. I’d appreciate knowing from those who have gone before me if and how they began shaping the rear legs before glue-up. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure of who Charles Brock is, but I have done a few Maloof style chairs.

I would think that you first take care of the joinery, then rough shape the parts, with the final shaping after assembly.

Spoke shaves, scrapers and sandpaper to your final.
