Buy low, sell high.

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

A penny saved is a penny earned.

Don’t spend it before you’ve earned it.

It takes money to make money.

Don’t piss off the tax collector.

Taxation costs the same with representation as without.

I would suggest that you contact your local bar association. Many have referral programs that will get you an initial consultation for a nominal fee. Here in NY, the fee is $35 for 30 minutes and is a great way to both find a qualified attorney and discover if you actually need one.

Find someone who actually likes their lawyer. Both my guys are personal referrals.

”Find someone who actually likes their lawyer.”

I disagree. I want a lawyer who is a nasty, argumentative, disagreeable, unlikable ba$tard. He’s probably really good at his job. Not mentioning any names, but….. :-)

LOL @ Charlie !

Try the Martindale website.

In theory, you get info about what (some) clients and (some) peers think, and can search by specialty and geography.

Good luck. Can’t be fun…..

Have you tried anyone local? Quite frankly, I wouldn’t be asking for professional advice from strangers on a web site.
