Does anyone know what size the threads are on a pen mandrel where the brass knurled nut screws on?
Are they all 7mm? Or, if I could find a partially threaded rod with 3/8-24 threads, that would also work.

I would contact Penn State Industries. This is a common question I would bet.

Looks like 1/4”x28 to me but I’ll check and repost in the morning.

Well morning came early because inquiring minds want to know… Yes mine is 1/4”x28 tpi, but then again I purchased mine from PennState about 10 years ago they might have changed since then.

Disregard please.
I ordered a 12” drill chuck extension that will probably work for what I have planned.
And by the way…it seems that the 7mm mandrel is actually not 7mm anyway.
The tubes are .246” and the bushings are .246” and 7mm is .2756”.
So, even when using the metric system they can’t get it right!
What’s that all about?
