I am posting here in hopes that the original craftsman reads this. About a year ago someone posted a project of a vase that he repeatedly stained with different colors. Putting one color on top of the other and sanding between coats. I believe he was a wood turner and the finished project was absolutely beautiful. If anyone has this in their favorite’s or can direct me in any way to this artist I would appreciate it. Thanks Mike.

Mike, it sounds like you are referring to Trifern's work. Here is a blog that he posted which details his approach to using multiple dyes on his turnings.

Thank you very much Scott, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I found more than I thought I would find at Trifern’s site as he goes into how to make the vases in a demo video. Mike
