I just bought this load of firewood from the local sawmill. These are slabs and crooks etc from the sawing process. This load is almost all white oak, but there is a little bit of walnut and one or two cherry slabs in this stack. I cut most of it into firewood, but some of the slabs end up being resawn and in projects. THis load cost $25, but I have to haul it. Three loads in my sons S10 pickup, this will heat the shop all winter probably.

Good find, Take what is usable and make some projects and what is cracked, and badly warped can feed the fire.

Great get. Glad you could use some of it for projects too.
