I have a worksharp 3000 that I want to sell. I am using water stones now and don’t have a use for it. Not really sure what a used one is worth.
I also have a WoodRiver #4 I am selling. (70.00)

If interested in any of the items, PM me and make an offer.

WorkSharp is SOLD…..

Joe, I am a water stone user as well. I found two things where the Worksharp really earns the money:

1. It is awesome at lapping the backs of blades. Seems the more I get into handtools, the more blades I have that need to be straightened out on the backs. It is quick and accurate, love it.

2. I have the leather hone disc for it and keep it out when I am working on a project to give blades a quick strop to keep the edge sharp. Just did a project with 48 dovetails and 52 pins and did not need to break the stones out to resharpen. Every now and then I would hit the strop disc to keep it highly polished and keep on working.

Just those two things made me hang on to mine. I tried it for sharpening chisel blades and am not really happy with the results, the stones are better. And I don’t have the plane blade attachment, so I never used it for that. But because of the results I have with the above, I am keeping it. I am sure someone will snap it up, are nice machines.

Hi Joe , after reading your CL ad , I think you should change it to show what accessories come with the unit and skip why you’re getting rid of it. It doesn’t say what you have for sanding disks / abrasives , etc.. Also I didn’t see if you were including shipping or if it was for local pick up only.
I only paid $119 for mine , brand new, including free shipping at the time.It included all of the normal goodies , plus the leather strop wheel and abrasives and a 2nd glass support wheel.
WoodCraft is asking $199.99 right now, brand new with all of the goodies , so, if I was in the market for one , your used price of $150 is way too much in my opinion.
