Mac and Sketchup users… it has been reported elsewhere that OSX Lion and Sketchup dont play well together. I am using Snow Leopard and would really like to upgrade to Lion, but wont if it will cause problems with Sketchup.

Does anyone know of any problems with this combination?

I’ve opened a few files since I upgraded and haven’t seen any problems so far. I’m planning on drawing some stuff up this weekend, so I’ll post if I have any problems.

I’ve heard it was running into some issues related to plugins mostly, but still a bit finicky. FWIW I have people using my plugins on Lion without any issues (that I know of) so I think it’s fairly safe to go with Lion. they will be coming up with updates for the OS periodically either way.

I’ve drawn quite a bit over the last few days and haven’t had any problems, except some layer/grouping weirdness. I think this might be more my fault than Sketchup though.

Have your say...
