Many old saws blades that I see in antique malls have a very slight curve in them—maybe 1/8” or less off dead straight. Is this amount of curvature a problem (assuming I want to use the saw for woodworking and not for painting a country scene on it!)? Can I straighten the saw easily?

They’re relatively easy to straighten. Several sites of the web have videos and good tutorials with photos.
Many times just by flexing in the direction away from the curve will relax the material allowing them to straighten up.
