Was wondering if at the bottom of the projects page there could be a space to type in the page number you wanted to go to.

With over 7000 projects on the site I enjoy looking at them at different times. If I am at page 35 and then come back in two days it would be nice to start at page 36.

Perhaps there is a system now and I just don’t see it.

Thanks for reading.

Brian

I think the problem is all the problems that are added each day. They would have to be numbered opposite of the way they are. Currently the page numbers are lower for the most recent projects, which increase every day.
I guess you better get them all looked at before the tourist start rolling in :]

I agree that pages are added each day, but it would get you back to the general area within a page or three to continue. I was going to post that in my original question, but thought nobody would think I’m that I could not figure that out. I forgot you know me. :))

The ability to surf between page 1 and 606 would be nice… even though they change.

Sounds like a plan. You’d still be guessing but it would be faster.

You can do it from the address bar. Whatever page you are viewing is the last number in the web address you are browsing. For example, if you are viewing page 3, your address bar shows this:

http://lumberjocks.com/projects/page/3

You can just move your cursor up there, backspace through the “3” and type in whatever page number you want to visit. Then hit “enter” and you’re there.

Brian, you might also look into an RSS reader to follow LumberJocks. I see all new projects as messages in an email folder, so I can quickly browse through them or sort them by subject, and use the organization tools of my email reader to put aside things I want to drop back to for reference.
