11/18/11

(Note: this image was NOT taken recently)

... but we did have snow yesterday… and it was almost a white-out… and it was a reminder that winter is fast approaching.

This image is another photo of our “Grand Ol’ Lady” maple tree that died a few years ago.

Looking out the office window, Lolo peak is buried in a snow storm, not visible at all Black Mountain and the
other foothills are getting a little hazy, and down on the valley floor here at the poor man’s end of Grant
Creek we have just a skiff of snow. I suppose I should be out in all this tracking snow hunting, but I think
I will be lazy and settle for a nice warm gym today. Winter is definitely here in the high country and it is
almost time to wax up my cross country rock skis and have fun.

i just hope that its not like last year … shoveling off the roof really sucked. Bring the cold but you can keep the snow. I dunno if i could handle another 22” snow storm.

YUP!!

We’ve had a few inches, but now there’s only about 1/2” left.

They predict more coming on Saturday.

I can only shake my head in wonder – I don’t know how you manage to live in snow.

Just yesterday I was running around like a drenched rat because our temperature hit 37°C – about 105°F. And that’s just the start of summer for us in Oz.

Ummm, this is my mid-November Ms Debbie.
Come on down to Kissimmee, it was 83 yesterday!
(and yeah, that’s my big old foot in the picture) lol

I’ll take cutting the grass once in a while in winter over shoveling myself out to the street anytime.

oh but it’s so nice to curl up by the fire, with a good book and all snuggled up in a quilt made by my mother. Dreamy!!
