This guy played me for $35.00, claimed the Post Office "lost the item". Now it seems there are others having the same type of problems. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS CLOWN!!!!
I started a dispute for the transactions on Paypal. Hopefully they get the money back.
Damn it, jackasses like this guy really ruin it for decent people. I guess I will have to stick with Ebay where the feedback system makes the process legit. Too bad LJ couldn't have a system to weed out the criminals.
If you sent this clown money, you should start a dispute right now with Paypal. Not sure how long it will take to get the money back, but the more complaints that are filed should mean it gets action sooner than later.
cr1, no, it is linked directly to my bank account. Never had to file a dispute, so let's see how it works. It is not the amount of money that makes me mad, it is the damn trust he just took away. I will never use this site again to buy something, and that is too bad.
I tried to buy some chisels he had for sale. I checked his profile and his web site first. Then I posted a reply and sent a PM. No answer - no reply, so I figured already sold - just too busy to say so which seemed odd to me. So when he posted some more interesting things for sale, I passed.
Did he give you another email address. I got another one to contact him with, since he said he doesn't check LJ's very often. I sent an email to him and I'll let you know if I get a response.
His site is not up. Go to his link and it comes up as m.jonnytranscend.com which which takes you to Adrian Shell consulting in NY. This site looks like a makeshift site. The company says it helps you find your niche. Looks to be fly by night.
Click his link that where it goes. I typed it also to double check . If I was at my computer I would check the the source code and look up the dns address for you at tell you who it is registered to.
Looking at his activity it looks like almost all of his post have been listing random tools for sale..
He has listed a lot of random types of tools, most of which are new and never used. Just strikes me as odd. Why someone has such a random assortment of brand new tools that they want to sell…
I also found it interesting that hes posted a number of hand planes for sale and the last one he posted he had it listed as a Stanley Plain… He spelled it plain both in the title and in the listing… I doubt it was a typo but rather someone not really knowing anything about woodworking tools.
