How easy or difficult is it to install a twin screw vise like this? I don’t have a good understanding of how it installs….compared to other vises…. thanks

I don’t know about that one. But check the video blogs here. There’s a nice kid who has been building a beautiful bench and he shows how to make your own wood screw vise which is just FANTASTIC! It may be worth a look before you spend the cash on that one…

Its takes care, but its not overwhelming. The manufacturer provides good directions. They emphasize following them closely. I installed two of these on my bench, but it was years ago. Veritas may post the directions on line. They are a great company by the way. Good quality and good service. One thing they overooked though. When you install the threaded brass pins use Lock Tight as they can fall out over time and are very good at hiding once they escape.

They do have a link to their instructions. Go to where you order, right of the part number is Instr. Click it and the instructions open, complete with a section on common ways to mess up installing the vise.
Haven’t installed this vise, so can’t really compare it.
