Does anyone know where I can get a good deal on some Black Walnut in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area?

Here in San Antonio and I buy number 2 common at Frank Paxton Lumber and General Hardwoods, both probably have a division in Dallas, also Dakota Hardwoods, might be in Dallas. I am sure there are many others in your area with very competative pricing. I pay between 2-2.50 bf for very nice color consistent walnut.

Do you own an ax and a black ski mask?

Seriously though, I got a ton of walnut for ultra cheap. But that’s won’t help you. I just wanted to rub it in…

I get mine from Brazos Forest Products in Austin. They have an outlet in Grand Prairie.

Thanks guys! I’ll check out those options. All except for Stumpy’s. LOL!

Of course you could load up, head West, visit a friend in Texarkana, and then head over to Gary’s neck of the woods and snag some in DeKald… Just an idea…lol

Try McKinney Hardwoods. (Mckinney, Texas) Google it. Mike is a good guy. He had some last time I was there.

I think you should take an axe and a black ski mask to Stumpy’s house.
