we’ve had one of our “youngun’s” say that for safety reasons he is not to say his age.. ... so we may only find that we have “teenagers” here.

Who’s the youngest LumberJock? Well after reading quite a few posts, all I can say it, “Not me.”

You know… I hate to rain on your parade but you may wish to reconsider this from a liability stand point. In a perfect world this would never be an issue; however, in today’s society there are way to many people that might use such information improperly.

Imagine this:
you may already have a location in your profile
maybe your name
add your age

How much information would it take, there are a lot of sick demented individuals that might take advantage of this information.

Just my two cents as a father….

Chris, I sure hate to admit that you are right; probably it isn’t safe in this perverted day and age. On the other hand it sure would be interesting. to know the age ranges at least. I wonder if there is a way they could post anonymously?

Chris, I could not agree with you more.

It is an innocent topic, but the world and internet are unfortunately a jungle.

Utmost confidentiality should be considered for anyone under 18. Parential permissions, do come into play.

I think it would be in the community’s best interest for under 18 members not post their age.

I will just take the role as the youngest.

GOOD catch Chris.

im not the youngest. i do agree that this is a harmless post but like chris in this day and age with all the things that happen on myspace and other things of the like (i don’t have a myspace or a facebook) its enough to scare me and my parents enough that we don’t want to give my age or address or anything really just to be safe.
