pitch black at 5pm, seriously cutting into my after-work shop time. lord, help me—winter begins…

I should add, I work mostly on the driveway out of an unheated, detached garage. Thus I’m limited to pleasant-weather, daytime woodworking :(

What I really want is one of those fancy well-lit, heated shops like you see in the woodworking mags. Course I’ve never seen one personally, but the idea sure is nice.

Glen:
You have stated what you want, that is your goal and be satisfied by making small steps towards having a nice shop that suits your type of work.
I am sure many of us (I have) been in the same situation, but we finally got there one day at a time. Always look forward.

Maybe one day, Rex. Got to get some stuff off my honey-do list first!

Start making dust inside the house.. When she complains, offer to insulate/heat the garage :)

LOL! Sounds like you got the ladies figured out superstrech! Much better than I do. I do believe I’ll give that strategy a try…

I have a heated garage in the future.. as soon as I can save up the dough for it. When your wife has to shovel the snow off the top of her car every morning at 5 during the winter, she practically begs you for a heated garage

Yeah and you all have had it bad with the snow as of late, right? I used to live in Kansas. I don’t miss all that snow so much…
