What I really want is one of those fancy well-lit, heated shops like you see in the woodworking mags. Course I’ve never seen one personally, but the idea sure is nice.

You have stated what you want, that is your goal and be satisfied by making small steps towards having a nice shop that suits your type of work.
I am sure many of us (I have) been in the same situation, but we finally got there one day at a time. Always look forward.

I have a heated garage in the future.. as soon as I can save up the dough for it. When your wife has to shovel the snow off the top of her car every morning at 5 during the winter, she practically begs you for a heated garage
