I purchase a BladeRunner with much anticipation, but I’ve had a bit of trouble with it. This is because the hold-down skis just don’t work very well. This means that the work jumps and vibrates sometimes. I’ve tried to see if there’s something that I’m doing wrong. I’ve watched the videos that they send with the BladeRunner, but I can’t see that there’s anything that I’m doing wrong. They just don’t hold the work very tightly. Can anyone advise me on this? Could they be out of adjustment? They are new out-of-the box. Are there better skis I can get somewhere?
I replaced a little Ryobi 9” band saw with the BladeRunner and I’m beginning to wonder if I made a mistake.

Mark, I have seen the Infomercials for the blade runner and really think if you are having problems with it right out of the box like that, I would send it back and buy a small table saw and another band saw.
Not trying to cut down your choice of tools but unless there is a severe shortage of space, the blade runner is not a good choice for woodworking. It is more for small home repairs and if that is what you need it for then I would send it back for replacement if it jumps around alot.

Have your say...
