I just got a Grizzly G0555 bandsaw. I am currently going through setup right now. I’ve read over the manual about how to change speeds, but I cannot seem to get the V-belt to budge. The manual says to loosen the bolts holding the motor in place, then slide the body of the motor as far forward as possible. What’s supposed to happen is the belt will have some slack and you should be able to move the belt onto a different pulley. The problem is the belt is still too tense to move the belt off the 3200 rpm pulleys and onto the 1500 rpm pulleys. Any help in this would be appreciated!

Take the bolts out and move the belt then install the bolts again. I don’t have a Griz bandsaw but this should work easily. Might not have to take all the bolts out.

Have your say...
