I bought the compressor for 60.00 in like new condition today. Very happy! I wanted it badly for running nail guns on the job site. At 35 lbs I really wanted it and it is extremely compact.

About two weeks ago I almost bought the compressor new at HD for 169.00. I talked myself out of it then. Now for 60.00 I bought it in very good condition. The owner explained to me that he buys contents from over due storage units and sells for a profit.

Now we will not have to lug around our high output dewalt that is about 90 lbs. And, even though we are a small shop, the dewalt is the only compressor we owned and desparately needed another compressor.

My only concern is I have heard that porter cable has greatly cheapened the quality of this pancake compressor and it may not be a long life tool. The guys at the shop had wanted me to just go buy a cheap pancake compressor from harbor freight but I am not a fan of that place.

So I am hoping this porter cable is an upgrade over harbor compressor.

A model number would be nice to include here for research / comparisons / reviews.
If it is the same one as mine , it is just starting to show an issue after more than 8 years of semi-regular use.
Sometimes it will balk at restarting when the low pressure switch tells it to.I relieve a few more pounds of pressure and it takes right off.

Thanks for the info, I will update tomorrow with the model number. I am pretty sure it is fairly newer model which is not neccessarily a good thing as things are being cheapened in quality. I still feel it has to be better then one from harbor.
