I think I saw it here on LJ. It was a vid of a guy building a table. He goes out to a massive log pile and selects a log, cuts of a huge chunk. Saws it on a horizontal mill IN his shop. Then does some more milling on the slab. Puts it in a giant steamer. He drags it out and used a come-a long to bend the sides in for legs and secures them in some huge forms.
