Can’t believe how lucky a day can be sometimes. Today I went to see a friend an give him some advice on some home repairs he was doing. When I got there he was cleaning out his garage and off to the side he had started a scrap metal pile to be hauled off this afternoon.
I asked him if I could look in his pile to see what I could find. The joy to find these two beauties was almost to good to be true.

They are Dayton dual voltage motors one a 1/2 HP. the other a 3/4 HP. Both run smooth and quiet and appear to be almost new and hardly used at that. Just goes to show one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.

I have a old Craftsman Builders saw I plan to restore that I think the 3/4 HP. will fit on for light duty cutting. As for the 1/2 HP. I’m not sure what shop built project I will make yet.
