I cannot tell anyone else what to do and I would not attempt to try.

However, let me advise my fellow LJ friends that I make it a point to never read or comment on any non-shop talk topic that appears to talk about talking about politics on Lumberjocks. I, effectively, boycott them.

I encourage others to consider adopting the same policy.

Haha. Sorry Rich. I couldnt help my self (all in good fun, and proving a point)

If two negatives make a positive, does a post about not commenting on posts about not commenting on posts about political topics in the non-shop forum actually belong in one of the woodworking forums?

Charlie, that is so crazy that it actually might be true!! You actually got the point I’m trying to make!! (its ok for me to do it though, because I dont care about political threads or threads about not posting on political threads – therefore i’m not really being hypocritical. I think this thread is completely appropriate – in fact I was just talking about it in my shop last week, and it had nothing to do with woodworking….Weird)

Someone really needs to “one-up” me and post a thread about not commenting on threads that are about not commenting on threads that are about not commenting on political threads….

I just blacked out

I read them, its good to see what the people are up to. I guess I am more equal opportunity than others. It is still a strange concept to me that people are upset they that have to skip over stuff that doesnt interest them. We all skip projects, forums, blogs that dont interest us, without complaining or calling out a boycott. Its like they dont have the respect for others or me to choose for ourselves.

thats a good point ShaneA – I dont particularly like seeing Pen Turning on LJs (no offense to the pen turners…its just that it doesnt interest me).....Maybe I should complain to management that I want a button to push so I never have to see Pens again….BECAUSE IT REALLY TICKS ME OFF TO THE POINT OF UNCONTROLLABLE ANGER when I see PENS….AND YOU WOULDNT LIKE ME WHEN I’M ANGRY!!

Well, I am not going to post on this topic at all.

This post intentionally left without meaningful content.

Charlie..if you put in one more “commenting on posts” the whole thing would just cancel itself out and disappear…

haha Cr1

1) I’m very sorry that I’ve progressed your incontinence problem. I’m not going to lie, it made me giggle a little. TRUST me…you dont want to share my wealth….however I will let you share my school debt.

2) Stupid pens. Each one of them is different and everyone of them has a different point. If I made a pen, my point would definitely be better than all the rest, and then I’d tell them that. I really just can’t stand pens! I dont know what I’m going to do

Yeah, what’s with all the pen turning projects on a woodworking forum. The pens I use are all made from plastic, and even some of the pen projects are too.

What happened to all the pencil turning projects? Aren’t pencils usually wood? Clearly there is some communist conspiracy spreading patent lies that led to progressive taxes that killed all the pencil jobs leaving us with nothing but these pen project parasites.

Geepers.

Apologies to Cr1. I couldn’t help myself.
