Topic tags/keywords: question

1. Does anyone know where I can find a webshop that sells buffing wheels and offer international shipping?
2. What type of wheels and compound would you use for final polish on knives and other tool steel?

I would appreciate your replys, as my fingertips are sore from googeling… I am buying this as a christmas present for my father, and shipping to Norway could take a while, so I hope to order soon.

Lee Valley will ship internationally, but their range is limited to traditional buffing wheels and compounds. If you are looking for the more modern 3M style, I would suggest the 3M website (there is a Norwegian one) to find a Norwegian distributor/retailer.

For final finish, I have used this from LV, mainly the green compound, also with these felt wheels.

Those would be my first choice, and I’ve already gotten a shipping quote from lee valley, but due to Norwegian customs regulations I can’t purchase for more than 35 dollars, if I don’t want to pay a 25% fee on the goods and shipment, so I would have to pay about $100 for this. Bit much for me now…

So are you looking for an EU supplier? Would UK work? I think I still have the original packaging, I could probably find the brand name.

No matter where it come from, as long as they ship to Norway, and the price is below $35. :)

Does anyone know of other webshops than Lee Valley? Checked out Woodcraft, but they hadn’t felt wheels, only muslin. Are they any good?
