I have a Jet Proshop saw and having trouble setting up my table saw. I’ve done all the squaring with the fence and miter gauge slot. When I make a rip cut, the end of the cut always seems to get tapered. I think I might be getting some deflection from the fence but not sure.

I’ve changed:
- the insert with a clear 1/2” acrylic zero clearance insert

Has anyone dealt with the same issue? Any suggestion on how to fix this?

Sounds like the back side(outfeed) of the fence is to tight. You should have .003-.005” more there than at the infeed.
Hope this helps.

If the top is not aligned with the blade, the fence could be off, causing your problem.
If you have the manual, look at page 17. It will explain how to adjust this. If not, here is the link to see it

Then recheck your fence alignment. If you need more help, PM me and I’ll give you a phone # to call. I am a Jet dealer, so maybe I can help.
