Hi Lj’s, last week I went shopping for wood while I was visiting in Johannesburg. On my way home I popped into the post office and to my great surprise there was this huge heavy box for me.
Of course I left all the luggage in the car and hurried inside to see what was inside this box. Imagine the surprise I got, firstly a letter from David (Patron)

Then to my hearts delight, wood that I have heard of but never having the pleasure to see never mind having it

Here is another picture

THANK YOU DAVID AND MARYANNE BIG HUGS FOR BOTH OF YOU
Your kindness and thoughtfulness is heartfelt. I feel so blessed to be loved and cared for by so many people.

Thank you again David. This is what I bought: Cherry, Kiaat, Champhor, Imbuia and Rosewood

Hopefully all these beautiful woods will give me the inspiration to get myself back to doing something that I love.

Looks like you have lots of materials to keep you busy now, Cher. I expect to see some wonderful projects posted in the near future.

By the way, the only thing more stunning than that cocobolo blank is your new avatar.

Early happy birthday!

Cher, I do hope you will have a happy birthday, what a wonderful surprise gift from your friends at LJs – well done guys.
It will be nice to see sometime in the future, what you have made with these materials, no need to rush into it, take your time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHER!

That was a great gift.

Just add 29+50, just think of all of the woodworking you have ahead of you.

Plus! maybe even more than that.
