I’ve encountered all of the recent issues reported and more. At times, the site is unusable because it either doesn’t load, is slower than molasses, some features load but others don’t, links don’t work, or I’m constantly having to log back on.

Martin, do you have an explanation for any of this? It would appear to be server related and not a database issue, but then who knows? Is LJ on a virtual or dedicated server? Or does it reside on a shared server?

I guess it’s none of our business, but some sort of explanation would be helpful. Just asking…

Now I’m getting dropped off! And what’s up with those faucet ads at the end of every post before the replies? That’s new isn’t it?

Other than having to sign in every few days, none of that here.

It’s a Rep controlled server system run by Dems, one wants to switch it on, the other wants to turn it off.

For me it’s very spotty. I have days when the site performs perfectly… Oh well, I’m going with Roger’s theory until a better one comes along.

No problems here….Mine’s been working fine, but I do remember having to sign on once yesterday, but that’s it. I thought I just had a bad connection, but it cleared up quickly…...

Pierce85,
All fun aside, I have noticed some irregularities over the past week like you mention but I tend to think Martin and co are working on some improvements etc., and are having some problems adding features. I’m sure they will get it right.

every time there was word like tables ,plane , etc. as long as it was a thing mentioned
a link showed up and you just had to run the mouse over it and up poped a small window
saying something about the word and did I want to jump to the store and look at the item…......yyak
that was realy desturbing :-(
