I am building some large drawers for my kitchen and I would like a flexible system to organize plates and what not that is in them. What is the best way to do this?

I have seen the peg in hole ideas, I would worry that if this is wood on wood they would get sloppy over time. I was thinking about using propell nuts and threaded rods in dowel, but this seem like overkill.

ideas?
