This is our backyard yesterday:

It’s been snowing steady since then and is supposed to keep up off and on for 2 more days.

This poor guy doesn’t know what to think about this anymore:

BTW – Last weekend it was 23C (73F) and I was out with the mower.

Sigh…..

Luckily none of that in Central California. I hope your mower has a snow blower attachment.

Looks like my back yard here too!

They are calling for over a foot of snow by Monday.

This weather would kill average Texan! <vbg>
Sorry Gary – couldn’t resist.

We’ve been pretty lucky in my neck of the woods. We had two nights with frost last week. It didn’t seem to bother anything. A lot better than last year (I think it was Easter). It got warm and pleasant early, about the first of March….. Everything was blooming and budding. Next thing you know, we’ve got 9 inches of snow and temps down in the teens at night. A lot of the trees and bushes didn’t make it. It was about mid-summer before the mountains were fully green.

Sounds like the nurseries will be doing lots of business this year. Lots of plants to replace.

Hi Karry

That makes me want to go out and cut the grass and I don’t like cutting grass. We get snow here in Iowa but only average about 32” a year. Our spring was even 2 to 3 weeks late this year. Now when I lived in North Dakota, I always told people they had four seasons up there. July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and winter. Thanks for posting. Hope you have a Spring soon.

God Bless
tom

Well, what can I say. Us Canuks just have to be able to tough it out…I sure feel for ya… I was out golfing the last two days. Temperature was pushing 25c (80f). Here in Southern Ontario I guess we just live right or something. Just hope that what you are getting now doesn’t come our way….... Hang in there, the suns on it’s way.

Hi Tom, I grew up in Manitoba, 3hrs north of Grand Forks, ND, so I know what their weather’s like too.

Brian – I know, suns on the way but not just yet apparently….

Normally I’m not too bothered by snow. But this year I’m just really tired of it, and I want to get on with the yardwork and spring/summer activities. Oh, well we can use the moisture.

It is 61F central California and I am complaining it was cold. Last week it reached 80 F. I have a full vegetable garden growing and already eating radishes, spinach, lettuce, cabbage and cauliflower. I go to the snow to play in it.

Keep that white stuff up North or in the higher altitudes! It’s time to go fishing!
