I’m building a CNC router machine and using cross dowel nuts to secure parts together. They will be going into 3/4” MDO plywood. What is the recommended edge distance for cross dowel nuts? The nuts are 10mm dia, but measure .408” which is larger than a 13/32” drill. Should I go to the next larger size bit (27/64”) or even 7/16”?

Thanks, but what about the edge distance. I’ve set upon 5/8” edge to center of hole. Does this distance give enough “meat” for the screw to pull against?
