Help me decide on the Final Finish

Hello All,

Thanks to all who helped me in my “Staining Birtch Plywood” thread on staining techniques. Here are a few pictures of the TV cabinet I am finishing. Made it out of plans from woodsmithshop. The original in the plans had two tone finish. Wife and I are split on the final color choice. In my mind I really like the two tone finish but the wife wants the whole cabinet in dark color (like that on the base and top).

I still need to install the doors but here’s how it looks like right now.

Please help us decide.

In my home, the wife is always right, PERIOD.

However, let me comment that if it is done 2-tone, these are not the right tones. They have too much contrast.

mama ain’t happy…. I think it will look great either way. think how well it will blend with your other furniture.
