Topic tags/keywords: question drill press milling

Anyone familiar with this Drill Press. It is a Champion model FOO4 with 3/4 hp. Picked it up for 75 bucks. Runs well. Did I get a good deal? I hope so.

Well 3/4hp is certainly enough.
Looks like it has at least 3 1/4” stroke which is good. Over 4” is better, but that costs a lot more.
The speed range looks good.
Over all it looks like a $400 to $500 machine, more or less.

Might wanna add a wider base to keep it more stable. Just bolt the existing base to a piece of ply.
My .02.
