I hope this is allowable here?

By the end of October, the Early American Industries Association will publish the collected articles of Walter Jacobs, one the top authorities on Stanley tools. At 244 pages, that’s a lot of tools. Walter covers type studies, descriptions, patents, histories, you name it of planes, rules, gardening tools and everything in between.

I’m not the publisher, just the technical advice guy for the project.

It will be 8.5×11, trade paperback, color cover, black & white interior, 244 pages, fully illustrated, $20 and discounted for EAIA members. Available at the end of October at the Browns’ Auction and then through the EAIA website and then through Amazon and most booksellers.

All I can show you know is the title page as a sneak peak here:

I can’t show you a sneak of the contents yet, but it’s really good. Every article has been reformatted for the book, images improved or replaced, text corrected, etc.

Will the book be covering Stanleys power tools?

Only hand tools and then only the older stuff, none of the brand new tools

Welllll when the book hits the presses, I’ll be able to present a sample pdf for public viewing. Until then, this is all I can do. I’m not the publisher after all. I can’t even show the cover yet as it’s being reformatted. We’re working on the final details of proof reading and should have the draft ready next week for upload to the printer. Or at least we better have it ready.

absolutely. Over the next two weeks, we should be moving from draft to proof and then to press. Or at least we danged well better be unless some committee or board gets in the way. I hate committees
