Topic tags/keywords: hand tools stanley no 5 hand plane

I’m not a yard sale type person and with the colder weather creeping in, I need a new coat for the winter months as I have grown, in girth. LOL
Anyway I didn’t find a coat, but did come across a pleasant find to make the morning worth while. I picked up this Stanley NO. 5 that needs some TLC for 5 bucks.

Excellent find for $5, Greg! This plane looks to be in great shape aside from from the surface crud. It should clean up beautifully.

I love those $5 Finds. That’s going to make a fine user.

Great price. I hope you post after you restore it. All it takes is a little (or a lot) of work.
It is so rewarding to make them nice looking as well as usable.

Dang! I’ll give ya $10.00 before restore, and I’ll pay shipping.
I’m just finishing the restore on a sweet #7.
