I just found the JessEm Pocket Zip Slot Mortise Mill on sale at the JessEm website for $39.99, so I thought I’d ask for any updates on peoples’ experiences using this. There are a few comments floating around here on it, but I thought I’d ask for updates, as well as mention the sale price. The regular price is $99.99.

Have you used this, and if so, what are your thoughts on it? I know this obviously wouldn’t be for production work, but I’m not batching anything out, so that is not a concern. A couple extra minutes to accomplish a task is not currently a deal breaker for me.

I’ve seen them and wondered as well.

There was a recent glowing review here. Woodcraft has them for $59 but it appears to be only the 1/4 inch version. They don’t interest me whatsoever but for $40-$60, they look well made.
