Is it possible to select which forums show up?

Ideally, I’d like to have a “my watched forums” button on my personal menu so I could go directly to a list of my selected forums and not have to scroll past the whole dingdong list of forums and then sort through all the non-woodworking chaff just to get to the posts which interest me.

Some days I find my interest in LumberJocks running thin when so many of the posts are irrelevant to the core subject.

My apologies if this is already possible. Just show me how. It doesn’t seem to be intuitively obvious to this woodworker.

Kindly,

Lee

It’s funny, I was just commenting to LOML about the very same thing. It seems someone had the urge to author several threads about something non woodworking, then all it took was for someone else to respond and it kept these threads right up front.

I’ve been recommending the same thing for months.

What I do is “watch” all the forums I’m interested in. From the Pulse, I filter by “my watchlist”. It’s true that sometimes it gets too boring and I clisk the “all forums” to see what’s going on. Are y’all asking for an additional feature? It sounds like this might work for you Lee.

I see how one adds threads to the watchlist, Bertha, but not how you’d watch a specific forum. What am I missing?

This might help a little.

When you click on the forums tab at the top of any page, what comes up is first a list of the different forum categories, and then a list of all forum topics with the one most recently replied to at the top.

Looking at the lis of forum categories though, you will see that the category name is in blue font and is a hyper-link that you can click on. When you do that then you go to a list of all topics within that categorey only, again with the one most recently replied to at the top.

This means that you will have to go to each category that interests you one at a time, but it does allow you to eliminate those categries in which you have no interest.
