I posted this topic on the Site Feedback forum, but I don’t know how often folks look at that one, so I thought I would repeat it here, since this seems to be a popular forum.

I have the plans for my Flip-Top Planer/Sander project ready to post. I have created a single 840KB .pdf file containing the information. However, I don’t know how to embed the .pdf file in a post. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks,

It is not possible to embed pdf files in LJs. I did a post a while ago about converting pdf to jpg to allow pictures to be posted and there were some good replies in addition to the utility that I had found.

I would suggest though that converting an entire sheet into a single jpg picture to post might not work well. For one thing the text size might be a bit small (as in the sketch I did in this blog). The best would be simply to copy and paste the text straight into the LJ site and insert images using the “img” button at the top left of the box into which you are typing.

I hope that helps.

Are you a google user? If so, I would think you could post it on google docs and then provide a link.

There is also a site called BoxNet you can post pdf files for free and put that link in your post.
