Topic tags/keywords: sawmill portable lumber logs

Does anyone have or know of a sawmill service that would come to my house and mill up some logs I’m needing to cut down. I can’t see spending the $$$ on one for a single time use.

Birmingham, AL area… thanks much!

I belive the mill vendors usually have a directory of owners. I would check their web sites.

I do know of 1 guy that lives in Kentucky, and a few more elsewhere as well, but I’ll check with Norwood and see if there are any closer to you. I’ll get back to you soon. I know there are a bunch of’em out there.

Bill, I’ve seen a guy in West Marin with a mill in the back of a pickup truck, when I run into him next I’ll flag him down ‘cause I’ve just learned (from the awesome Jerry Work, whom I visited yesterday in his shop) how to make our Bay Area eucalyptus workable. And there’s gotta be a lot of that stuff where people will pay you to take it.
