I made this side dinette table for my travel trailer using scrap wood that I had laying around my shop. The chessboard is made from maple and African mahogany with red oak around the perimeter.

I used #20 biscuits on all joinery. The finish is 11 coats of gloss polyurethane cut 20%.

This was a nice little weekend project that got me back out in my shop and gearing up for retirement next year (2012)!

Very nice! This will serve well and have dual purpose.
