Does anyone know if the Ridgid 6-1/8 jointer Model # JP0610 is still available? I've been looking to purchase it for some time now and it says on the home depot website that it is out of stock….

I am fairly sure that they don't make it anymore but I see them fairly often in my area on craigslist. Any particular reason you want the Ridgid instead of some of the other brands?

I found one in June but it was in rough shape… not worth the trouble.

I like it for the price and good reviews i've seen. I'm in the 500-800 price range so i'm open to suggestions.

$600 for new 6" jointer? Pretty sure that would be price without new tariffs.
Amazon shows one warehouse seller shipping them for $799 + shipping.

Only way to spend that kind of money on new jointer is buying one of the short bed bench top units. There were some 'before tarriff' Steelex jointers being advertised for ~$750 in stock right after tariffs hit. Before I would spend $800 on Ridgid, would see if any inexpensive Steelex/Shop Fox 6" units are still around?

Can try trolling CL for used jointer. Jointers are hard to kill, unless castings get cracked. Around here can get used 6 inch Jet for $500-600 pretty easily. Grizzly less than $500. Both of these are little better than Ridgid with it's stamped steel stand. I owned one for a few years. Nice tool for money.

Best Luck.

I have the Grizzly G0813. The specs are similar to the Ridgid, but not exact. I wouldn't be surprised if they're made in the same factory. The price is in the same range, but you do have to pay for freight. It also has an integrated mobile base. You could look into that if the Ridgid is no longer available.

I've seen a few of them on CL and haven't had much luck. There are a couple nice ones outside my city but are easily 3-4 hour drive away so i'm kind of stuck.

Looks like the Grizzly is for sale right now… http://www.grizzly.com/products/Grizzly-6-Jointer-with-Knock-Down-Stand/G0813

Anyone have a discount code for Grizzly???

Ive got that same jointer. First and only ive ever owned, but it works perfectly… Dont see myself needing anything different for a loooong time (if ever). Keep your eye on CL and FB marketplace, I found mine in FB for 250. Just a little cleaning up, and a new set of blades, and the machine is a dream.

My timing on buying the JP0610 could not have been better. This was a few years ago when their equipment was grey instead of that awful orange. Anyway, HD was clearing them out because the new models were coming, and from what the sales people knew, the only difference was the new ones were orange. So I got the last nib grey one for $150.

It always worries me a bit when they post a stock photo rather than an actual picture of the jointer on CL. It does say used once so maybe not a big deal but before you make a 3 hour drive, you might want to ask for an actual photo to make sure that it wasn't sitting out in the rain or something.

My 2 cents.

The availability of the Ridgid jointer on the Home Depot website comes and goes.
Since it does not say discontinued it will probably show up again.
Probably won't be $600 though.

Hey everyone. Can anyone tell me there options on a used LAGUNA 8" WEDGEBED JOINTER SHEARTEC II CUTTERHEAD for $750 in good shape, is it worth it? Ive read about peoples stories about there customer service not being to good. But should that make the difference between buying the jointer or not? Thanks to anyone and everyone that can share there opinions with me.

Ah, you beat me, got mine for $200 in the grey tool clearance, but I lucked out and also got a bunch of tables, and herc-u-lifts plus theTS3612 table saw TP1300 planer, and BS1400 bandsaw with the riser block. Everything was 50% to 70% off I went from a mitre saw and some hand tools to a full shop in an afternoon,,, I swear that mini van did a little wheelie on the way home!!!
