Just got the number 62 low angle jack, came with a 25 degree blade. Would like to also get a 40 degree blade. Has anyone tried to use a wood river blade in it? I am ordering a few things from woodcraft and can pick one up in the order.

I believe that you will find that the Stanely blade is unique (compare pictures of other blades to your blade)

Lee Valley sells replacement blades for almost all the Stanleys, you can even get quite a few in PMV-11!

I have a Lie Nielsen A2 blade in my No. 62 and love it.

Is the one from lee Valley The Veritas 2 inch bevel up? Or is there one specific for Stanley?

If this is a new Stanley 62, at the Stanley / Bostitch Service Net site they are back ordered:

Looks like they do not show one for a 62, only 2” blades for # 4 & 5.
The blade for there 62 is a 2 1/4”

Well I guess I’m going to get the back up one from Stanley/bostige site And sharpen it to 40 or 50 degrees since I already have the 25 degree that it came with. Thanks for all your help
