Topic tags/keywords: forest fires smoke air filtration

I just found another reason for having a good dust collection system yesterday when the smoke from
different forest fires moved into the Missoula valley. As I keep adding years in the shop, my ability to
tolerate dust and smoke decreases. Any outside activity outside required a dust mask, but when I went
in the shop, I mere switched on my air cleaner and in short order I was breathing clean air. We are not as
bad off as the people in Texas or up the Bitterroot, but when the wind does not blow, the inversions can
create a health problem in short order. Looks like I will be cooped up in the house and shop for the next
week until the wind returns. I might even get something accomplished, I might even get the shop cleaned
up and halfway organized.

Yep. This is why I’m not afraid to eat beans and burritos in my shop.
