Topic tags/keywords: laguna band saw blade guides question

I’m thinking I should’ve bought xxx band saw instead of the Laguna. I thought Laguna was supposed to be top ‘o the line when I bought it several years ago. Now I’m not so sure that a Rikon or Jet would’ve been better. I’m a newbie with it but I think I’m careful with it. After sawing for 10 minutes or so the blade guides become loose regardless of how hard crank down on the knobs. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it (assuming you did)?

That’s never been a problem for me with my 1412. Sorry I don’t have wisdom to share.

Thanks. Talked to Laguna technical support. They’re going to send me replacements for the blade guide assemblies. They thought there was something wonky with mine. We’ll see if that helps.

I have had zero issues with my Laguna BS. I have found Lagunas customer service to be very helpful, I have found Laguna operator manuals to be much less than helpful

There has been at least one other report of this, same response, they sent new guides and all was well.

Never had an issue but as you found out their customer support is excellent. Absolutely love my 1412.
