Looking at a used Grizzly GO715P that’s around 8 years old for $500. It looks to be in great shape.
Just wondering if that saw is worth that or would I be better off buying the newer model?
I currently run a DEWALT 735 and I’m ripping 8/4 oak so I’m in need of an upgrade badly
Thanks

It’s an ok price, +/- $100. With the right blade, there’s not much that saw will not handle in a hobbyist’s shop.

Yeah. You’re right on the border of a “good” deal. I paid $450 for a 2 year old one. But, if it’s in good shape with little use, buy it.

Dang, where are you guys finding these deals. I offered $400 and he said he’s firm on $500 for now.

I’ll keep looking but I haven’t seen much on Craigslist over the past few weeks

That looks like it has a mobile base, and potentially a Bies fence (hard to tell for sure based on picture). But the mobile base and an upgraded fence (if it is) make that a good deal assuming it is in otherwise good condition. Around me I wouldn’t expect to find many better deals on a regular basis.

I have that same saw and I have been very satisfied with it. It has noticeably more power than the 1.5hp contractor saw I previously owned. The fence in the picture is the one that comes with it, as far as I can tell. There is no need for it to be upgraded because it works just fine. I think $500 is a little on the high side for an 8 year old model but you could certainly do worse than that. I buy stuff based on whether it suits my needs better than other alternatives, not whether it is the best deal around.

The G0715P is a Hybrid table saw, and has about the same specs as the the same G0833P. but with the HDPE side plates on the fence. Sold new for $895. I think the price of $500 is a fair price, I think you’d be happy with this purchase. The question I’d ask is why is he selling it. and ask if there’s any quirks. If he built any jigs or sleds, would he throw them in.

Well I just called again and he said it’s sold.
He said he got a good deal on a Sawstop and that’s why he was selling.
I guess the search will continue
