Topic tags/keywords: resource question trick tip

I have a small area in my closet that I would like to build a couple shelves to hold some random stuff.
There’s a window in one wall so the max disitance that the side of the shelves can be on that side is around 16inches but I want to vary the length of the shelves…... mostly cause I think it’ll look pretty cool.
Below is a picture of what id like the shelves to be. I need some bracket ideas tho. The only think I’m coming up with is putting a small lip on the back/side to drill through and into the wall, which will work but I’m not sure that’s the best way

Why not make a few right angle brakets from wood as well, maybe like 1in square. Put them under each shelf say 16in on one side, then however long the correspong shelf will be. You can tap each side where the stud is, and drop a 3.5 in screw in, then id do a 1/2in recess in the screw holes and cover with dowel plugs.

Yes I have a window in the closet. It’s on the outside wall of my house and use to be a laundry room way back when before I got the place.
JistFL- that’s kind of what I’m thinking of doing. I just wanted to see if anyone else had any better ideas
