Hello all, So I just picked up a Hitachi Table saw C10FL for $100…
Im fairly certain it was a pretty good deal however, there is little information about this saw (other than the manual and a couple of reviews) SO, I thought Id ask here and see if anyone ever owned one? whats good? what should I watch out for?

Thanks!

I’ve never owned one but they look like a standard tablesaw. Will likely do anything you’d need it to within reason and will hopefully last a while. I’d say for a $100 you did good.

IIRC, one of the knocks was that the elevation gear was made of a non-metal material….don’t recall whether it was Delryn or something else, but make sure it’s clean and lubed and don’t force it. It’s probably possible to change it out to a metal gear if it proves to be an issue.

Get it aligned, and put a decent blade on it…..it should be great for $100.

A couple videos for you. According to this guy tilting the blade could be a bit of a PITA

The Hitachis at Lowes don’t have a standard size miter slot. At least the ones I have seen. Also, that type of saw (they aren’t the only one) does not lend itself to taking a zero clearance throat plate. It can be done, but requires some tinkering and ingenuity. I wish people didn’t make saws like that.

There are numerous reviews of that saw here on LJs. Most seem to be positive.
