There is a group of people doing this. They create accounts pretty much every day. I just flag the posts as Spam and the posts will get removed… They are doing this to try to raise their links in search engines.
Hi Ms Debbie…just noticed this post. I think its nice that these spammer profiles are being removed, but it must be a lot of work for you, Martin, or whoever is doing the deletions to do this on a regular basis. I notice a dozen or more spam sign-ups per day. I think the answer would be to block them on sign-up. I notice that about 40% of the new sign-ups are spam. There are only about 8 or 10 products/product phrases that are constantly being posted under different user IDs. They have nothing to do with woodworking. These product names are always listed in their profiles and their attached webisite links. I think if we sent you or Martin a list of the product names or phrases that are frequently used they could be blocked at sign up. I would be willing to help you with this if necessary.
Thanks for your help.
