Topic tags/keywords: settlers of catan how is it done how help game board laser paint stain

I have been looking at these pictures of a custom made settlers of catan game board and just can not tell how he made them. I am starting to think they might be laser cut. Can anyone else take a look at these and help me figure out how they might be made? I am hoping its just clever painting and staining otherwise I don’t think I will be able to replicate them.

Thanks for you time!

If there is one guy who can help you it’s the LJ Vipond33. He’s made a number of games that are ratherr obsure and does outstanding work.

Hope this helps you.

How is this game played? It has an interesting name.

Veneers and probably CNC.

barring CNC, I’d try lots of tracing paper and plenty of veneers with a decent exacto knife or veneer saw.

If you’re open to asking/commissioning another LJ, I’d recommend tyskkvinna . She does some really wicked CNC work, and you should check out her ongoing project with her map table. Truly amazing. It might pique her interest.

Have your say...
