check out the last paragraph of the site that you got your plan from, it states,” the cutting edge of the teeth must align with the centerline of the pivot point on the sliding arm”

Use a try square on the edge of the jig. Slide the jig forward until the square shows the leading edge of the blade and the center of the pivot point are aligned then clamp it down. The clamping block squares the jig to the table and allows you to slide the jig until you’re lined up. Hope it works. This is not a question too elementary for this forum. This is exactly why it’s here. Most of the time you get good information, and then someone like me comes along blowing smoke and you waste good wood listening to me. Seriously, that’s what it looks like to me. I’m planning to make this jig too, so let me know if I’m right.

Otherwise you could try this …

1. Place the base board on your table with clamping block against the side edge of the table, as it should be, but pulled back towards you (i.e. the sliding arm is between you and the blade.
2. Push the sliding arm out past the position of the balde so that the pin is in line with the blade.
3. Push the base board forward until the sliding arm just touches the blade.
4. Measure the distance from the centre of the pin to the front of the balde.
5. Retract the sliding arm.
6. Slide the base forward by the distance that you have just measured from the centre of the pin to the bade
7. Clamp the base.
8. Mark a line under the base along the front and back of the table.
9. Install a stop under the base at both the back and front of the table such that the jig is automatically correctly positioned every time you use it.

If you try this and it works, please let us all know.

Some progress has been made …not perfect but much better…. All thanks to you fellows imput.. My solution is re cutting my base board square… mounting the base board——use a square and from the rear lign the cutting edge of the blad with the center of the pin… apply a clamp on the side… gently push the pin rod into the running blade…. when it reaches the desired circe tighten the pin slider. and begin to cut and perhaps the most important lesson i learned was to——move ever so slightly the entire jig to the left or right… after the targeted circle is starting to operate correctly ..permantly tighten the side clamp/
