In case it someone is in the market, Harbor Freight is having a “Tent Event”, and among the sale items is a 4×36-6 Belt/Disk sander. Marked down to $49, but the “TOOL20” coupon code beats it down to $39.
I can’t vouch for the tool’s performance; only its price.
I personally only needed a light duty disk sander. So with a HF store semi-close to my home, I placed an order with the option to return it if it sucks. Of course, many HF tools have failed to knock me over with world-class performance. But none have failed to get the job done and/or been anywhere near a level to compel a return.

Yea HF has some very very bad tools, but that said they also have some very good ones for the price as well, how many people on this site have the HF 2HP dust collector ? Many have upgraded it with better filter bags or a filter cartridge or added an additional seperator, but I don’t think I have seen anyone really say that it was a Crappy system even if they got a bad one first and had to return it for a replacement. After all it sucks just like it is supposed to.

I have thier 12” sliding miter saw and the only thing bad about it I have found is the laser is pretty much junk, but I have never trusted lasers on power tools anyway. I have had thier biscut joiner ($20 on sale ) for about a year and a hlaf and only needed to to use it 2 or 3 times but it works fine after you mess with the fence a while, and I really don’t think I am going to use it more than 2 or 3 times in the next year so for me it was a great deal. Now if I did biscuts every day, well that would get me a different tool.

Any way just go into the store and pick the tool up and play with it a bit and see if you think it will work, that goes for any brand out there, just touch it and make a choice from there.

Have your say...
