Is Steve a closet woodworker? Maybe now that he resigned he’ll be joining LumberJocks.

One of his quotes:

“When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it. You’ll know it’s there, so you’re going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through.” -Steve Jobs

Nice comment, Steve. Apple is likely not to be the same.

Apple will not be the same, period. I’m not an apple guy, but we’re headed to a new generation. Bill Gates is less active, Steve Jobs is less active, times they are a changing.

As far as him being a woodworker, thats and interesting thought.

I don’t know that Steve would be a WW himself, but if he were to actually put a case on his iPad, I could see it being a wooden or bamboo one.

He and Woz built their first Apple computer with a wood case, so perhaps he is!

Steve can afford to put anything he wants on the back of his chest of drawers.
