Just noticed that the ’Videos’ tab is missing from the row of tabs at the top of the page.

What’s the deal?

That would appear to be the case. Bad MoJo!

I really hope it’s just a work-in-progress. If Classes Tab replaced Videos Tab that really sucks. Seems like videos would have more traffic than classes, especially since there will be far more new videos being posted than new classes.

PS. The class tab is a great addition to LJs. Very good idea. Just hope we get our video tab back….

Maybe the just ran out of tabs and had to order more from the tab store.

Yes, it was replaced by classes tab. The link is still in the footer. We’re thinking about one additional tab added to the top navigation called “More” that would work like a drop down with all other links. There is only so much room at the top…

Actually, it looks like there is just enough room for another tab. (Nobody reads footers)

Yeah, this is kind of a bummer. I doubt I’ll continue posting my videos on LJ any more. Impossible to find. It’s kind of funny that as the entire world is craving multimedia content, LJ is taking a step backward.

A couple other suggestions:

1. The red “NEW” in classes takes up space. Eliminate that and gain some real estate.
2. Eliminate JOCKS tab. Cute, but I would love to see how many clicks it gets.
3. Surely LJ uses Google Analytics and can see click-trough patterns. My guess is that PROJECTS, VIDEOS and FORUMS are the most common tabs clicked.

Throw Shops to the footer and bring back Videos. That would seem to be my least used tab. Just a suggestion.

FWIW … losing Steve’s videos would be a net loss for the entire LJ community.

I agree, Videos in the footer is to hard to find, I had to search for a while before I saw it. Bring it back in the tabs. Especially if your new to the site, you wouldn’t know it was there unless told. I think allot of people like to watch the videos for the entertainment value, like if some one hears a saw going at the neighbors garage, all the men’s ears in the neighborhood perk up and want to check it out.

New videos get added daily usually. New classes are gonna get added weekly, maybe monthly?? I would assume you’d want the tab with the most content and most frequently visited more visible. If making a “more” tab – keep the videos as it’s own tab and put the Classes in the More tab.

Again, I think the Classes section is a really great idea and a really great addition to lumberjacks. However I think you went one step forward and two steps backwards!

Thanks for all ur hard work, Martin!!

I agree, don’t throw the ’Video’ tab under the bus. Heck, I’d be willing to forfeit the Contest tab too.

Better yet, why not have two rows of tabs?

I’d rather hide the Shops and Jocks tabs and have the Videos at the top as I’m sure they get more use. PLEASE
